The Department of Music can’t wait to welcome back alumni, students, faculty and friends at their 50^th Anniversary Symposium, September 28-30. The two-day symposium features performances, presentations, master classes, workshops, panel sessions and lots of opportunity to socialize, reconnect and make new connections.

Highlights include: a U of L Singers Reunion Choir, inviting back anyone that has ever sang with the U of L Singers to join current director, Dr. Janet Youngdahl and former director, Dr. George Evelyn; a conducting workshop with Dr. Gillian McKay (BMus ’85); a vocal master class with Wendy Nielsen (BMus ’84; DFA ’08); and a gala Faculty Artists and Friends Concert featuring alumni, current and former faculty and the Conservatory Children’s Choir.
