Food Bank Challenge

photo

In keeping with the giving spirit at this time of year, IT Services and Financial Services are competing for bragging rights on collecting the most food items for the University of Lethbridge Students’ Union food bank (cans, boxes and bags).

We are throwing down the gauntlet to other departments on campus to join in – but at the very least, feel free to drop off your non-perishable donations in the bin in ITS (D570). Or, we will also come and pick up your donation – just call Diane at 7180.

Of course, you can drop your donations in one of the SU’s 10 bins they are placing in high-traffic areas on campus. Coordinator Shelley Tuff says the food bank is short on breakfast items such as cereal, canned fruit and granola bars, and is accepting any other non-perishable donations as well. Food bank volunteers will be collecting all donations on December 13th.

Take up the challenge!!!

IT Services is also collecting donations for the Salvation Army’s Toys for Tots program. It is in need of gifts for children aged 7-17. If anyone wishes to contribute, please bring unwrapped gifts to D570. (The Salvation Army will sort and wrap them.)

Best of the season!
